What is a process group?

Our lives are lived in groups; of friends, coworkers, family, neighbors, culture, and society. Therapy in groups can embolden us for a life lived in community. A process group can increase our understanding of ourselves, our emotions, and relationship dynamics and patterns impacting our lives. In group, members practice putting thoughts and feelings into words, explore here-and-now group dynamics, and share the emotionally significant experiences of their lives.

What is the commitment of a process group?

A process group is meant for long-term therapeutic work towards relationship building with other group members. Because of this, group members should expect to make a meaningful commitment to the group and expect to attend each week. Absences do happen, but members are expected to prioritize their group commitment as much as possible.

*What does gender expansive mean?

This group is open specifically to clients who do not identify as cisgender. This could include gender identities such as transgender, non-binary, genderfluid, genderqueer, agender, bigender, or any other variant of gender-non-conforming.
